Description:
Kaoko & trade; Cruise Control Kits are under continual development to suit selected large capactiy motorcycles. The kit consists of a simple, ingenious and robustly designed friction nut that is integral with a special Kaoko™ handle bar end weight. The Kaoko™ bar end weight is closely matched in appearance and weight to the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) end weight.
Operation:
The friction nut has a left-hand thread. It must be adjusted so that it makes light contact with the rubber throttle sleeve.
To Engage:
Whilst rolling on the throttle, the friction nut can be gripped between the small finger and palm of hand. This action tightens the nut and provides sufficient friction to set throttle to the desired opening. (The friction is such that the rider may still open and close the throttle. It simply has a slight rotational resistance to it.)
To Disengage:
Whilst rolling off the throttle, grip friction nut between small finger and palm of hand. The throttle should open and snap closed freely when correctly disengaged.
Note: The Grub Screw is set to provide the necessary resistance on thread of friction nut. This may be adjusted periodically to take up wear.
NOTE: When turning on your heated grips there may be a need to back off the friction setting slightly due to the expansion caused by the heat applied to the throttle grip. Using heated grips with a Kaoko Cruise Control is perfectly safe.

Fitting Instructions:
Kaoko™ Cruise Control Kit only replaces the OEM throttle end bar weight. Remove the right hand bar weight and replace it with Kaoko™ bar weight. Ensure the central retaining screw is firmly tightened.
Maintenance:
Remove kit annually. Unscrew friction nut and brush clean threads with mild soap. Apply petroleum jelly to threads and assemble. Adjust Grub Screw to desired operating resistance. (O-Ring cushion: 19.6 mm I.D. x 2.4 mm section - if replacement is required)
